Mixed media with color pencils and ceramic sculpture

This mixed media piece combines painting and ceramic sculpture to explore the contrast between the idealized image of nature and the environmental reality we often ignore. The framed “TV” scene of vibrant underwater life represents how media presents nature as endlessly beautiful and abundant. In contrast, the ceramic waste spilling from the frame into the real world symbolizes pollution and the irreversible damage caused by human negligence.

The work reflects on how easily we take natural resources for granted — consuming and discarding without awareness of the consequences. By juxtaposing illusion and reality, it urges viewers to recognize that nature’s beauty is fragile, and if we continue to neglect it, what we admire on screen may be all that remains.
